How To Perform the rider test correctly

Balance Test

Stand tall on one leg.

Lift the opposite knee to hip height.

Look for:

• steady hips
• no wobbling or hopping
• knee lifted to hip level
• upright posture

If your standing leg shakes or your hips drop, your balance stability needs work.

Core Test

Hold a forearm plank.

Look for:

• straight line from shoulders to heels
• no sagging hips
• no piking hips
• steady breathing

If your lower back drops or hips lift, your core endurance needs improvement.

Mobility Test

Sit into a deep squat.

Look for:

• heels flat on the ground
• chest upright
• knees tracking over toes
• stable position

If your heels lift or you fall forward, your mobility may be restricted.
