Scope Performance Lab- Can You Pass The 3 -Minute Rider Test?

Most Riders Fail at least one. Your horse feels every imbalance.

Take The rider Test

Most riders have hidden weaknesses affecting balance, core stability and mobility in the saddle.

Take the 3-Minute Rider Test to discover what may be limiting your position and performance.

Balance

Stand on one leg and lift the opposite knee to hip height.

Goal:
Hold for 30 seconds each side.

Common rider faults:

• swinging lower leg

• tipping to one side in the saddle

• unstable position over fences

• difficulty maintaining a quiet seat

Core

Hold a forearm plank.

Hold for 60 seconds.

Common rider faults:

• bouncing seat at the trot

• inconsistent contact with the reins

• difficulty staying with the horse’s movement

Mobility

Deep squat hold.

Why this matters in the saddle

Weak Balance

Lower-body instability reduces your ability to stay centered over the horse’s movement.

Common signs:

• swinging lower leg

• heels lifting out of position

• rider tipping forward

• difficulty staying quiet in the saddle

Weak Core

Insufficient core stability prevents the rider from maintaining a secure, independent seat.

• collapsing through the torso

• inconsistent rein contact

• difficulty maintaining posture over fences

limited mobility

Restricted hip and ankle mobility prevents the rider from following the horse’s motion effectively.

Common signs:

• chair seat position

• tight hips or locked pelvis

• heels rising in the stirrup

• difficulty absorbing movement through the leg

Scope Performance lab | A complete program developed specifically for riders

Riders Train Their Horses.

Very Few Train Themselves.

Modern equestrian sport demands athleticism.

Stability under pressure.

Mobility without restriction.

Strength without bulk.

Yet most riders lack structured, discipline-specific conditioning.

Scope Performance Lab exists to change that.

Limitations are common in riders and can be improved through targeted strength, mobility, and stability training.

Our 30 Day Rider Reset program is the perfect place to start....

Try this at the barn - before you ride

Try this at the barn -

Have a friend or trainer watch you perform the three tests. - Try this before you ride and notice how your position in the saddle feels after.

Many riders discover that one side is significantly weaker or less stable than the other.

Small improvements in balance, core stability, and mobility often lead to immediate changes in:

• lower leg stability

• seat control

• ability to follow the horse’s motion

• overall rider confidence
